Abaca Organic Guarantee – Click to download PDF (Printable)
  • Our mattresses are guaranteed for the following lengths of time: Gower and all Mattress Pads: 5 years. Single sided Chester:6 years. Denbigh: 8 years. Snowdon: 10 years. Monmouth and Chester: 12 years. Ramsey: 15 years. Raglan: 20 years.
  • Abaca Divan Bases are guaranteed for 5 years.
  • Abaca Nursery mattresses have a statutory 1 year guarantee.
  • This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
  • This guarantee covers manufacturing defects only; it does not cover fair wear and tear or any intentional or accidental damage.
  • This guarantee does not cover goods that have been damaged through unreasonable or improper use. Where mattresses are used on divans other than those supplied by Abaca they must be of an appropriate quality, compatible with Abaca standards. In the case of slatted bases, the gap between the slats must not exceed 50 mm.
  • If a claim does not fall within the scope of this guarantee, the consumer will stand the costs incurred. This does not affect your statutory rights.
  • Abaca reserves the right to substitute alternative covering fabrics if the original is no longer available. Abaca cannot undertake to match any replacement covering fabric to the original covering of the goods delivered.
  • The original purchaser (named on the order/receipt) should make a claim in writing, together with this guarantee within 30 days of the imperfection becoming apparent. To make a claim under this guarantee, Abaca require the location of purchase, the original order or receipt and manufacturing code from the sewn in mattress label. Upon receipt of the written complaint, Abaca will inform the customer whether the examination/repair will be undertaken at the customerís location, or at the Abacaís workshop. This does not affect your statutory rights.
  • This Guarantee is non-transferable and only valid in the UK. If goods are removed outside the UK, the onus is on the customer to return the goods to the UK for the guarantee to be honoured.
  • Abaca request that if there is any intention that the goods may be returned, that the seal on the plastic bag is not broken and the mattress is not removed from the bag. Please return the goods in their original packaging.
  • The sewn on product label must not have been removed from the mattress/divan, as it identifies the product.
  • Proof of purchase: We only accept the original sales invoice, supported by information from the sewn on product label.
  • This guarantee does not cover any handles and/or their fixings. This does not affect your statutory rights.
  • Abaca will not be responsible for any incompatibility between your mattress and abed frame bought from another supplier.
  • Should a claim be made and your product replaced or repaired the guarantee will continue to run from the original date of purchase of the goods, until expiry of the guarantee.

    • Distance Selling Regulations
  • Subject to distance selling regulations, you have the right to return your product within 7 working days from the date of receipt.
  • The cost of returning the goods shall be payable by the customer.
  • Abaca reserves the right to refuse returned products if that product is a bespoke item, this includes sizes outside standard measurements and changes to firmness requested by the customer.
  • Abaca reserves the right to refuse returned products if they are not in their original condition, or have been damaged due to unfit packaging used in their return. Please use the original delivery box when returning any products to avoid any damage in transit.

Premium Delivery £40
Your new mattress will be delivered by a two man team (D2H) who will take it to the bedroom of your choice, put it on the bed, and take away all the packaging. This delivery will be booked in advance with you for a day of your choice, and the team will contact you the day before to advise on whether it will be an a.m. or p.m. delivery. Please make sure you clear the stairwell of pictures, ornaments etc!

Standard Delivery
This delivery is a one man delivery to the inside of your front door. The driver will be alone, may need help to take the mattress out of the delivery lorry (if it’s king size or bigger) and will not be able to help carry the mattress upstairs. Delivery will take place any time between eight and six on a day which has been agreed with you. No charge is made for this delivery, but if you are not at home then the driver will return the mattress to the depot and a charge of £25 will be made before it can be redelivered.
Please note that this option is not available for a delivery of two or more mattresses.

Mattresses can be difficult to handle, please ensure that you have enough help on hand when your delivery takes place. We ensure that the packaging is sufficiently strong to cope with all normal handling. When your goods arrive, please ensure that there are no rips or tears to the mattress and/or that the bed has not been scratched or damaged. The driver is allowed to wait for 10 minutes while you do this.

In the unlikely event that there is any damage, please DO NOT accept delivery, DO NOT sign the delivery sheet, instead ask the driver for a damaged freight report which will need your signature. Contact us as soon as is practicable. Goods are not covered by transit insurance once you have accepted delivery.
